At 4:30 sharp, Jade and Damien showed up dressed in black. Jade had her hair shoved up inside a ski hat. They looked ready to go. Sam was dressed similarly, but her black hair needed no coverage. A knock sounded sharply and Sam let in Cody, her boyfriend. He was tall and muscular in all black.

He swirled off his trench coat and crouched down in the Vampire fashion, like a gargoyle perched on the edge of a building. Sam nonchalantly threw her sword to Cody. She rolled up her sleeves and crouched down, ready to attack. Sam came forward and struck out with a well aimed kick, but rowan blocked it with a muscular arm inches from his chest. She jumped back as he sliced the air and she kicked again for his head, but he ducked it and sprang back up, growling. Sam punched at him and then kicked out again, but rowan caught her foot and with a yelp, Sam landed flat on her back in the cold grass. Rowan stepped next to her and laughed for a moment before Sam angrily grabbed his foot and yanked him down with her. She rolled over and straddled him. He laughed and she smiled.

I win. She said triumphantly. He smiled on.

Not yet sweet. He rolled over mightily, moving her easily and straddling her instead. Sorry, babe. I like being on top. She struggled under him, trying to dislodge him.

I wont go with you, youll have to carry me through the streets screaming! She pounded him hard across the face and his eyes blazed up furiously. It was then that Cody smashed the hilt of Sams sword down on Rowans head. Rowan groaned and rolled off of Sam.

Get your hands off my girlfriend, creep. Cody helped Sam up and she looked at the incapacitated rowan contemptuously.
