Sir, theyre all dead, Im the only agent left in Fernfield. You Must send reinforcements. Sam sat next to her phone in her apartment. Her waist length black hair was plaited into a single braid that hung over her shoulder.
We dont have any extra agents right now. Do your best, maybe you should get your friends to help
Civilians, sir?
The Vamps are getting ready for something though, stay alert and stay alive Varner. He hung up. he was her boss in Washington, Wilford Manning. Sam sighed and put her head in her hands. She was too young for this shit. She was only 20 years old and new to collage. Why had she picked this town? Shed been working for the Agency for only 7 months, and wasnt Ewven qualified to kill Vampires. But now she was Fernfield only hope. Rowan. Suddenly the image of the cold blooded Vampire crossed her mind. She shivered and stood up. She had to get to class. She checked herself in the mirror. She looked so different from the pink cheeked, sparkling- eyed girl who had first come here. That was before she was bitten. She ran and got her coat and bag, then she jumped in her little red Geo and went into the heart of the city, to Fernfield College. As she walked the halls, she knew that people could sense something different about her. Thats why they stayed away. She smiled when she saw her friends, Damien and Jade. She walked to them.
Sam, you going to the Silver Bullet tonight? Jade was a spunky, long-haired blonde with large green eyes. She was also a practicing witch.. Jade was the type to stare at the world in wide eyed wonder. Damien was a devilish looking guy with strong features off-set by a chin fuzzy and two earrings in his right ear His grin was roguish and his eyes twinkled wickedly. His body language was that of a born charmer. Sam pondered the question set before her. The Silver Bullet was named by Jade, who had given the suggestion to the owner years before. It was a colorful joint, and the only entertainment for college students and Vampires. They mainly played rock, punk, trance or techno. They had an Aviary, or a balcony that encircled the whole interior of the building. Anybody who was anybody went there Friday nights. But Sam wasnt just anybody.
I need to talk to you both. Its about my situation. They both leaned in close. They knew that a year ago a Vampire bit Sam and that now she was half vampire. She worked for the Agency and they had both always begged to help, but Sam had violently refused to involve them, but theses were special circumstances. Everybody in my agency is dead now. I need your help A slow smile crept across Jades face Sam closed her eyes. Tonight at the cemetery, 4:30, my place. I gotta go. Sam smiled at their joyous faces and walked down the hall shaking her head and smiling softly.
